Making the most of scripture in times of need
Don't rush through the passage. Read it slowly, allowing God's Word to speak to your heart. Consider reading it multiple times.
Ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart and mind to receive what God wants to communicate to you through His Word.
Choose a verse or phrase that resonates with you. Repeat it throughout the day, letting it become a prayer and source of strength.
Write down insights, feelings, or prayers that arise as you read. This helps you remember how God has spoken to you.
Scripture reveals new insights each time we read it. Return to these passages regularly, especially in similar circumstances.
